CURRICULUM: School
readiness activities are integrated with art, science, music, dramatic play and
creative movement – all designed to nurture and enrich a child’s total
development and present students with the prerequisites for success in
kindergarten. The
curriculum is based on state preschool guidelines and the district
pre-kindergarten curriculum to promote language development, literacy, cognitive
skills, problem solving, social-emotional skills as well as large and fine motor
skills.
A developmental profile is used to assess children in all areas and set
goals for their individual growth and development.
This instructional model ensures an individualized, high-quality program
and a smooth transition to kindergarten.
